Other important information
Effective October 2026. We will update this notice as what we collect changes, and the date at the top will tell you which version you are reading. If we ever begin sharing your information in a way this notice does not describe, we will tell you before we do it.

When you apply for coverage, the information on your application goes to the insurance carrier so they can process it. That happens only when you ask for it.

What this tool collects

The notice above is the formal one, in the form the federal rules prescribe. This part is plainer and covers the self-audit specifically.

What you type

Your first name. What you earn in a year, and what a partner earns if you tell us. Where you work, your role, and how long you have been there. What you still owe: a mortgage, rent, school and other loans, a car. What you have put away: retirement, savings, anything else. The people who depend on you, including each child's name and age, and anyone else you support. The two areas that matter most to you, and the sentence you write about why.

If you book a time, or ask us to reach out at the end, we also take your email address, a phone number if you choose to give one, and, for a booking, the time you choose.

What we do with it

We do arithmetic on it and show you the result. If you ask us to reach out, we also use it to get in touch with you. That is the whole of it.

Nothing is sold. Nothing is sent to a carrier. Nothing is used to place you in an advertising audience. No decision about you is made automatically from these answers, because no decision is made here at all.

If you ask us to reach out

At the end there is a box that reads “Show me which strategies fit my situation, and have someone reach out.” It starts empty and stays empty unless you tick it. Ticking it shows a button that sends your answers and contact details to Freeland Financial. Nothing is sent until you press that button. It is separate from saving or sending your World View. If you do not press it, we do not use your answers to contact you.

If you press it, the producer whose link you used, or the one the website assigns, is told that you asked, and we send you one email to confirm it. They reach out by email, and by phone only if you gave us a number. Ticking the box does not sign you up for a list or a series of messages. You can take it back at any time, before or after, by writing to joe@freelandfinancial.us.

Who sees it

Freeland Financial holds your answers. A producer receives them only if you book a time or tick the box asking someone to reach out. They do not contact you unless you booked a time or ticked the box.

If you stop partway through, nothing is sent. Your answers stay in this browser and go nowhere.

Our systems hold the record so your document can be rebuilt if you ask for it.

What we do not ask for

We do not ask about your health. Not here, not at any point in this walkthrough. If you go on to apply for anything, health questions happen there, with the company you apply to, and you will know when that starts.

We do not ask for account numbers, and we do not ask for your Social Security number.

While you are working on it

Your answers stay in this browser until you finish, clear them, or twelve hours go by. That is what lets you close the page and come back.

Finishing the walkthrough clears them. On a shared computer or tablet, if you stop partway and want them gone now, clear this site's data in your browser settings.

Changing your mind

Write to joe@freelandfinancial.us and ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be deleted, or ask us to stop contacting you. We will do it.
